Terrorists came to India from Pakistan via Gujarat
Let us tell you that the terrorists had already planned the attack. On 21 November 2008, ten terrorists came to India from Pakistan via Gujarat in a boat. During this, four terrorists also killed four fishermen on the way and threatened the captain of the boat to get them entry into India. As soon as the terrorists entered Mumbai, they attacked Taj Hotel, Oberoi Trident and Nariman House. In this attack, about six explosions took place in Taj and many people were killed in it.
Gautam Adani was having dinner at Taj that day
Let us tell you that when this hotel was attacked on 26 November 2008, the country’s richest man Gautam Adani was having dinner there. Gautam Adani saved his life by hiding in the basement of this hotel. Later, NSG commandos controlled the situation and then rescued him safely from there. Actually, Gautam Adani was having dinner with Dubai Port CEO Mohammad Sharaf in the Weather Craft Restaurant of the hotel. Since he was sitting at a height, he saw from a distance that some terrorists had entered the hotel and were firing.
People were held hostage for 4 days in the hotel
The terrorists kept people hostage for 4 days in this hotel and killed many of them in indiscriminate firing.
164 people were killed in the 26/11 attack
164 people were killed and more than 600 people were injured in this attack at different places in Mumbai.
9 out of 10 terrorists were killed
9 out of 10 terrorists were killed in this attack but one terrorist Mohammad Ajmal Amil Kasab was caught alive. Later, after the court’s decision, Kasab was hanged on 21 November 2012 in Yerwada Jail. Marine Commandos and NSG Commandos played an important role in killing the terrorists.
Bravery of retired soldier Tukaram Omble
In this attack, retired soldier Tukaram Omble and Assistant Sub Inspector of Mumbai Police sacrificed their lives to catch terrorist Ajmal Kasab. Later, Omble was awarded the Ashok Chakra for bravery and valor.
Hafiz Saeed mastermind of 26/11 attack
Hafiz Saeed, the head of Jamaat-ud-Dawa, is said to be the mastermind of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. He is still in Pakistan.
